2005 Members of the Year

Lance Price

Alabama Division Senior Vice President Lance Price was chosen as the Alabama PBA Member of the Year for 2005-2006.  Vice President Price was presented to the board and presented with a plaque as well as several PBA items.  He also received a check for $100 and will have his dues waived for one year.  President Scott noted that Lt. Price visits chapter meetings throughout the division, is extremely active in the political pursuits of the PBA, is an active recruiter to the PBA, and has displayed exemplary leadership skills.

Chapter President Dennis Hill noted in his letter nominating Lt. Price for this honor that Lt. Price has been a PBA member for 15 years and has held several positions at both the local and division levels.  He was chapter president of the Walker County Chapter for six years and is currently the senior vice president of the Alabama Division.  He also serves as a board member of the Alabama State Law Enforcement Chapter.

Lt. Price attends recruiting presentations at various police academies throughout the state and has assisted President Hill in recruiting ABC Board members at in-services and agent schools.  Lt. Price really works to promote the PBA’s political agenda, taking time off work to attend legislative sessions and speak with the legislators.  He has also testified before various committees supporting PBA legislation and also against legislation that could prove harmful for state law enforcement officers.

Lt. Price is also active in his community, coaching peewee basketball and baseball as well as Pop Warner football.  He is an active church member and served as president of his church board.  Further, Lt. Price was appointed to the Oakman, Alabama, City Council in 2002 and then won election for a full term.  Lt. Price is a loyal, hard-working member who stands tall for the PBA and its goals and we are proud to name him Alabama PBA Member of the Year for 2004-2005.
