On August 7th, 2010 the Alabama State Law Enforcement Chapter held its semi-annual meeting.  Board members were updated on efforts to pass legislation important to state law enforcement officers.  This included the "Ten-Day Bill" that would allow state law enforcement officers to sell back up to ten days of excess annual leave.  Board members were also asked to participate in upcoming political screenings throughout the state and assist local chapters as the needs arose.  Several board members agreed to participate in the political screenings.  Board members were encouraged to continue recruiting new members into the association.  There were no new requests for grievance representation at this meeting.
